What to expect as a residential summer school teacher

Many summer schools have residential summer TEFL jobs as well as standard positions. This is usually for two reasons. The schools need responsible adults to supervise the teenage students, carry out administrative duties and arrange fun activities outside of the times allotted for English lessons. Also many summer schools are in relatively out of the way, rural locations. In order to encourage teachers to take up positions, they often offer them free or heavily subsidised accommodation plus full or half board options.
